Summer has arrived and it’s bought with it some lovely days. We’ve already seen our garden have a facelift, with the wall being painted and planter boxes built! Our outreach teams have played some football and shared the love with ice lollies.
This summer, there is so many exciting things planned. We will be open both at the centre and at the beach or fields on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and as usual Y-Friday is happening! Keep and eye out at the beach for an exciting project starting in week 2. For Year 6’s moving up to Clevedon School, Year 7 Afternoons are running again where you can meet your peers and the YMCA youth workers before school starts next year. Our outreach teams will be out in town on Thursday and Friday nights. If you see us, make sure to say hello and ask for ice lollies or cookies!
Summer can sometimes be really hard for some families. If you are in need to support this summer, whether for housing, food or just a chat, please drop in and talk with one of our youth workers or call the office. We’d be more than happy to sit with you and support.
